Gov. Cuomo Denies Disabled 911 Services, Protects Sexual Predators

Governor Andrew Cuomo must be held accountable for protecting and shielding countless sexual predators from criminal prosecution that rape our most vulnerable

Bypassing 911 call systems for people with disabilities is discrimination in civil rights and is how Gov. Andrew Cuomo is protecting countless sexual predators

ALBANY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, June 20, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo has refused to ensure that people with disabilities finally receive their equal rights and equal access to 911 emergency medical and police services, but instead is protecting sexual predators that rape vulnerable women and children.

No longer can people with disabilities be denied equal access to 911 medical & police services. The 911 Civil Rights Bill S4736D/A6830C will end decades of discrimination, finally provide swift emergency assistance, apprehend sexual predators and save countless lives.

The New York Times exposed wide-scale systemic rampant abuse and neglect through their “Abused and Used” investigative reporting series and yet the most basic step of mandated reporters being required by law to cal 911 has been blocked by Cuomo. Calling 911 is critical to save lives, prevent sexual assaults, and catch sexual predators.

Currently, thousands of sexual assaults of people with disabilities within Cuomo’s mental health agencies are reported to his State abuse hotline every year, which is only a tiny percentage of what is really going on behind closed doors. According to a very reputable report and study called “Prevalence of Violence” approximately 3% of sexual assaults against the disabled will ever be reported.

A critical 911 Civil Rights Bill that Governor Cuomo directly opposes will dramatically reduce sexual assault and rape crimes. This legislation will change everything, sexual predators that are escaping justice will swiftly be rounded up and apprehended. Governor Cuomo has done everything within his power to block 911 for the disabled to protect sexual predators.

On top of these atrocities and the wide-scale obstruction of justice, staff not calling 911 regarding medical emergencies is known to be the number one reason for what are being called “untimely” deaths, but in most cases these are negligent and preventable deaths. It is an outrageous injustice for Cuomo to sit by a do nothing as so many women and children are victims of sexual assault or rape by caregivers or dying because 911 is not called. Almost all reported sexual assault and rape cases are being kept from local police and county elected District Attorney’s by Cuomo’s abuse hotline and it is the sexual predators that are being protected from criminal prosecution.

The 911 Civil Rights reform bill will get these sexual assault and rape crimes to the rightful authorities, the local police for criminal investigations and to the county elected District Attorney’s for criminal prosecutions. The Larry Nassar’s within Cuomo’s mental health care system that are preying on and victimizing our most vulnerable will finally be rooted out, jailed and unable to continue to destroy vulnerable women and children’s lives. What kind of person protects sexual predators?

"Again, I must shout it from the rooftops in hopes that people will act to stop the thousands of sexual assaults and rapes occurring every year by sexual predators within New York State’s extremely dangerous mental health care system." -Michael Carey

The New York Times Editorial Board called for critical reforms over four and a half years ago, but Governor Cuomo has ignored them and other respected civil rights and disability rights advocates. Keeping reported sexual assaults from being reported to 911 has kept the police out of the picture for Cuomo and his fraudulent Justice Center to literally cover-up almost all sexual assaults and rapes.

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s system is called “a predators dream” by one caught and jailed sexual predator and pedophile that was thankfully ensnared in a federal child porn sting. Stephen DeProspero was a state employee that worked within Cuomo’s State agency, he was sexually assaulting the young disabled boy where he worked for an extended period of time. This story will sicken you, but you must read it.

Federal investigations have been requested of the US Department of Justice surrounding Governor Andrew Cuomo’s direct involvement for years in covering up thousands of sexual assaults and rapes of the disabled and one of the main motives, the massive Medicaid fraud scheme. The sexual predators that prey on our most vulnerable are very sick individuals, but those that protect and shield these criminals from prosecution are far worse and far more dangerous.
